Mmm mm the future.

I'm studying Theater Arts at our state university. I never could choose a major but I did just 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend suggested to me I try acting, since she has been very supportive of me trying things out to find what I like. I barely got into the class and fell in love with it on the first day. I have waited a long time to find something I really connect to and so I feel very redeemed now that I have found that "something".

I am still interested in comics, and painting. Unfortunately Macintosh computers aren't as compatible as the manufacturers claim, so I can't scan in anything I doodle b/c my new computer doesn't recognize it. Unfortunately I could have built a faster, more compatible computer running Linux, for half the price! Well that's advertising for ya. Also there's no decent art freeware for Macs except GIMP and Inkscape which don't run natively.

I believe we can learn a lot from our own art, that there's a lot about ourselves and what we are thinking about the world around us subtly introduced into whatever we are making, if it's blatant or not. I'm learning to look at even the "arbitrary" things that I make and listening to what they have to say. Especially comics, they can say so many things.. I think "The Secret" & "Girlfriend Gift" are the two deepest (emotionally) strips of yours that I've seen so far.
